ACB files chargesheet against accused in the ‘Note For Vote Case’

The Hyderabad ACB Court has filed chargesheet against the accused in the Note for Vote case that sent shock waves across the Telugu States. The Court has filed the Chargesheet on 16 Feb on the accused Revanth Reddy, Uday Simha and Sebastian. The Court had filed Chargesheet against another accused Sandra Venkata Veerayya in the past.

The Chargesheet has been filed after a hearing in the Court on Tuesday under Section 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act and under IPC Section 120 (B) read with Section 34.

The accused have been maintaining that the accusations are baseless. However, the ACB Court has announced that the hearing schedule for witnesses will be finalized today.

The Discharge petition filed by the accused in the case, MLA Sandra Venkata Verayya and Harry Sebastian, was rejected by the Court earlier.

The ACB claimed that it is in possession of all evidence to support its case in the Note for Vote scandal, including audio and video tapes. The accused have been caught red-handed while handing out Rs 50 lakh cash, ACB said.
