Muslim mob vandalised the Kali Mandir, stabbed an ABVP member in Tripura

Muslim miscreants vandalised Kali temple, attacked and injured several people in the Kailashahar Laxmipur area in the Unakoti district of Tripura on Friday (October 29) evening. The development comes amidst the alleged attack on Masjid by Hindu protestors last Tuesday. Tripura police already clarified that Hindu organisations burned no mosques in the state during protests.

Muslim goons also attacked ABVP members near the Kailashahar police station. At around 5:30 pm on Friday, Shibhaji Sengupta, a member of ABVP in Kailashahar college, was attacked by Muslim goons. Unidentified persons stabbed him during an argument near Kailashahar police station. He has been admitted to Kailashahar Hospital. The situation is tense in the area after the attack on the student.

As per reports, a large Muslim mob ambushed the Kali temple at around 5 pm. They broke the idol and vandalised the temple. In a separate incident, ABVP worker Shibaji Sengupta was attacked by Muslim members of the NSUI and the Trinamool Chhatra Parisha.

UK Chakma, the District Magistrate of Kailashahar, said, “Section 144 was imposed in Laxmipur & Kailashahar for breach of peace in 2 separate incidents. Unknown miscreants vandalised Kali temple in Laxmipur, ABVP leader was attacked by NSUI & Trinamool Chhatra Parishad workers in Kailashahar yesterday, the accused involved in the stabbing incident were arrested.”

As per the locals, the attack on the Kali temple happened after the Friday evening Namaz in the nearby Masjid. Locals complained that Muslim leaders in the Masjid instigated the mob to attack the Kali temple.

The district administration has imposed CrPC Section 144 with immediate effect to prevent any untoward situation. An assembly of more than 5 people is not permitted in Kailashahar. The curfew will remain in place till October 31 evening.

VHP Tripura claims that there were hundreds of protest rallies against Hindu Killings in Bangladesh in Tripura. All were peaceful, and thousands of women took part in the protest rallies. The Dharmanagar rally in North Tripura was also peaceful, and Muslim miscreants attacked the rally from a Masjid campus in Rowa village.
